A Note from the Khloe:
Bias binding can be intimidating — even for experienced sewists.
After 16 years of sewing, I still think bias binding is one of the trickier techniques.
That’s why I’ve included my personal methods and pro tips in this pattern.
It may not be the only way, but it’s what works best for me — and I hope it helps you, too!

Canvas, IKEA cotton-linen blends, or twill are ideal.
If using quilting cotton, I recommend adding medium-weight fusible interfacing for better structure.

* While this pattern was originally designed with canvas in mind, not all canvas fabrics are created equal — they vary widely in weight and stiffness.
That’s why I often recommend IKEA home décor fabrics as a safer and more versatile option, especially for beginners.
They’re structured enough to hold the bag’s shape, yet soft enough for easy sewing — and they work beautifully for reversible designs without interfacing.
