With fall—and the perfect season for reading—just around the corner, I wanted to make a smaller case for reading glasses and regular-sized eyeglasses. While the original Sunny Case is designed for oversized sunglasses, this round shape works beautifully for smaller frames.
The patchwork version is also a great way to use up even the tiniest fabric scraps. If you’re a quilter, it’s an easy and satisfying scrap-busting project. And if you’re new to patchwork, this simple design is a wonderful place to start!

🌼 Required Presser Feet:
Standard presser foot or 1/4" presser foot.
🌼 Craft Time:
Approximately 90–120 minutes, including reviewing the tutorial and cutting the fabric pieces.
🌼 Finished Size:
Approximately 6" × 3" (15 × 7.5 cm) when folded.
The finished size may vary slightly depending on the materials used and individual sewing habits.
🌼 Difficulty: Confident Beginner
Accurate seam allowances are essential for this project. Because multiple small pieces are joined together, even a 1 mm difference can noticeably affect the final size.
